The Brief

Our client aimed to expand their SRE team in order to increase efficiency and improve reliability across their cloud platform. They were searching for a true SRE specialist with experience in setting up, designing and implementing metric based processes including: SLOs/SLIs, Observability, Toil Removal, Error Budgets, Mean Time To Resolve (MTTR) and Mean Time To Detect (MTTD).

They turned to Uniting Cloud after receiving irrelevant profiles from another supplier.

The Solution

The Uniting Cloud team turned to our DevOps and SRE talent pools (a network of screened and referenced active and passive candidates) and used our deep knowledge of SRE to match the correct skills, experience, salary expectations and competencies to the job scope. Within the first few calls of actively pursuing relevant individuals, a referral was made by a freelance candidate we had recently placed. He recommended we speak with someone outside of our immediate network who may be interested in a new role.

This professional was a great fit for the role and was immediately sent to interview.

Our search was wrapped up just like that. The client was extremely happy with who had been sourced for the role and went on to hire them into the team.
