Software Developer
Manchester (Hybrid, 2 days in the office)
£40,000 - £55,000 + benefits

We’re looking for an experienced Software Developer to join a dynamic team and help create high-quality, scalable solutions on Linux and Cloud platforms. You’ll work in a small, talented group focused on enhancing key systems with innovative features and delivering a top-tier user experience.

In this role, you’ll contribute to the development of low-latency, highly available systems that go beyond just customer-facing products. You’ll be hands-on in designing, building, and improving solutions that handle high transaction volumes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enhance and support existing codebases while maintaining clean coding practices
• Design and deliver innovative backend solutions that scale efficiently
• Collaborate with product owners and testing teams throughout project cycles
• Identify technical improvements and contribute to solution proposals
• Provide work effort estimates and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Solid commercial experience in web client or server-side development (C#, .Net)
• Strong understanding of backend technologies and Linux environments
• Proficient in C# or Golang
• Exposure to TypeScript, JavaScript, SQL, HTML5, CSS3.
• Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum, and familiarity with CI systems
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts and contribute to mentoring and leadership
• Experience working with high-transaction environments
